Are you ready to see some TRACKS today? We’ll have our StoryCircle about TRACKS in the Gazebo at Depot Park today, as there is too much ice on the sidewalk in the library’s Big Back Yard. For a taste of what’s in store, here is one of the tracks we’ll be looking at (Thanks for loaning us your tracks, Whitefish Legacy Partners!). Can you guess whose track it is?

Overdrive App is Sunsetting Soon:
Overdrive App is Sunsetting Soon: As a reminder Overdrive will stop supporting the Overdrive app in February and it will be removed from app stores. To continue accessing eBooks and Audiobooks your digital readers will need to download the Libby app on their digital device
Extra Features Available in the Libby App
Thanks to ARPA funding the Montana State Library is excited to offer Great Courses, Test Prep services and Universal Class. They can be found by scrolling down toward the bottom of the screen. These extras are all available for the next 12 months with the Libby app.
A Visit by Panthers
Perhaps you’ve heard of The Library Lion? Well, Whitefish Library had Panthers on Tuesday! The Fortine Panthers Pre-K and Kindergarten class visited and they all read enough books to take home Whitefish Library Snowfolk. What a great class! Thanks for bringing them, Miss Michelle!
Story Panels have new jackets!
The Story Panels are proud to show off their new vinyl jackets today when we read a penguin story “Grumpy Pants” by Claire Messer. Come and learn how penguin shakes off his grumpy mood at preschool StoryCircle today, 10:30 a.m. in the library’s Big Back Yard.
StoryCircle Fort in Progress
Thanks to the fine weather for making snow blocks and industrious StoryCircle attendees, our StoryCircle Fort has a new layer, and some tunnels and even a back door! It’s a sweet place to sit on mats and listen to a story or two. Today we had stories about BOXES and all the fun things that can be imagined with them. Boxes even make fine snow block molds!
StoryCircle is a Go – Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022
The temps were forecast to be above 10 degrees for today, so even though we might barely get there (now forecasting 10 degrees for 11 a.m.), we will be having StoryCircle in the library’s back yard today at 10:30 a.m. We have a story that incorporates plenty of action and lots of snow to play in, so we will stay warm. And any weather is good weather for play!
