Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.)

May 3, 2022

Come and read to a dog – they are the best listeners!

R.E.A.D. teams (trained dog and skilled facilitator) will be at Whitefish Community Library beginning May 3, 2022, after school from 3:30 to 4:30. Register for one of four 15-minute sessions each week by calling the library at 406-862-9914.

The mission of the R.E.A.D. program is to improve the literacy skills of children through the assistance of registered therapy teams as literacy mentors. R.E.A.D. utilizes registered therapy animals who have been trained and tested for health, safety, appropriate skills and temperament. When these special animals come to hear children read, it’s fun!* Girl with dog reading a book together
