WCL cardholders can now bring the internet home thanks to a pilot program by the Montana State Library. Available for checkout are 4 Verizon Jetpack hotspots – devices that provide internet service when a cell tower is within range – and 2 iPad tablets. HP laptops from the State Library are on their way and will be available soon.
Here are some more details about the device lending program:
- Patrons with a WCL library card in good standing can check out one or more devices for 14 days. Temporary cards are not eligible for this service.
- Items MUST be returned to the Circulation desk inside the Library. Remember that you can call ahead (406-862-9914) or ring the doorbell for curbside service if you do not wish to enter the Library.
- Borrowers will be required to sign a User Agreement Form before borrowing devices to make sure that all terms and conditions are understood (download example: WCL device user agreement).
- Devices are non-holdable (cannot be reserved) and non-renewable.
