This realistic fiction takes place in Westchester New York and starts in June when Nikki the main character is about to go into a new grade and is nervous to start and her first day is ruined by her rival MacKenzie she gets to her locker and she has been placed right next to MacKenzie. All through the books and this book Nikki has been asking over and over for a iPhone. She meets her new best friends in the library and is friends with them all the way to the end of the books, but there has been bumps along the way.
There are 14 books in all with different names and endings. Each book is in a different month. My favorite character is Nikki because she is nice and seems likable. Nikki has a hard time being in 8th grade but she makes friends and she keeps thinking that she is going to lose them. Nikki is embarrassed a lot of times by her dad and sister and all of her family. I give this book a 4 out of 5.
