2031. Censorship
The Whitefish Community Library does not censor materials.
The Whitefish Community Library strives to offer diverse materials that may result in some requests for reconsideration, however, we strongly support the concept that the responsibility for materials children and adolescents select is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian. We believe no one has the right to make rules restricting what other people use, or to make decisions for other families.
The library supports viewing material as a purely individual matter, and patrons are free to reject materials, however patrons do not have the right to censor or restrict any material of which they disapprove.
Patrons wishing to challenge a resource in the Whitefish Community Library will be asked to complete a Request for Reconsideration of Library Resources.
