Meet us in the library’s big back yard (lawn east of the library) where the experienced crew from Montana Wild Wings displays their “education birds” – rehabilitated raptors that can no longer live in the wild.
What to expect:
MWW volunteers weave through the crowd with the birds while Executive Director Beth Watne tells the background and personal history of each bird. Microphones make the raptors uncomfortable, so be ready to listen intently. There is usually a crowd at this event and the quieter we can be, the easier it will be to hear Beth.
We can stay still to make the birds more comfortable, because volunteers bring the birds around so that everyone has a chance to view and photograph these magnificent birds. Please, no clapping – although it is tempting because the raptors are awe-inspiring!
