2028. Hotspot Policy



The Library is not responsible for any liability, damages or expense resulting from use or misuse of the device, connection of the device to other electronic devices, or data loss resulting from use of device. Any use of the device for illegal purposes, unauthorized copying of copyright-protected material in any format, or transmission of threatening, harassing, defamatory or obscene materials is strictly prohibited.

Wi-Fi hotspots and iPad or laptop may be borrowed by Whitefish Community Library card holders ages 18 and above with library cards in good standing. The library reserves the right to refuse service to any patron that has outstanding fines of $10 or more.

At the time of check-out, a patron must complete the Whitefish Community Library Mobile Hot Spot Borrower Agreement.

Hotspots and devices may be borrowed for two weeks on a first come, first serve basis. They may not be renewed. They must be returned in person to the Circulation Desk, and never to another library or in the book drop. Returned items must be complete and include any power cords, cables, SIM cards, and carrying case.

Patron must agree to all Whitefish Community Library policies regarding Internet use, including Service Providers Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and all Federal and State Laws.
