2030. Website Access Policy
⦁ Whitefish Community Library is not responsible for Internet content.
⦁ Users are responsible for what they access online, parents are responsible for their children’s Internet use. Any parents who believe their children cannot responsibly use the Internet are requested to monitor their children’s Internet use. Library staff does not monitor Internet use.
⦁ The library’s public computers allow equal access to patrons of all ages.
⦁ Individuals are responsible for using the library’s computers and the Internet in a courteous and ethical manner.
⦁ Whitefish Community Library expressly prohibits any use of library equipment to access material that is obscene or child pornography; and in the case of minors, “harmful to minors” materials, consistent with applicable federal, state or local law.
⦁ The library reserves the right to terminate an Internet session that disrupts the library’s services or that involves user behavior that violates the library’s policies.
⦁ User agrees to respect the privacy and sensibilities of other users.
The library’s public computers allow users to search a variety of electronic resources, however no station provides support for all file types, browser plug-ins, or Internet technologies.
