Donate Money or Other Valuable Items
The Whitefish Community Library welcomes the donation of cash or other items of value to supplement the taxpayer support for the library. The WCL Board of Trustees have chosen to direct all such donations to the Whitefish Library Association, whose purpose is to collect and manage funds for the betterment of the Whitefish Library.
There are a number of areas in which your donation may assist. If you direct your monetary donation to a particular need, please be assured, your gifts will be put to that purpose to the greatest extent possible. The areas we’ve identified are:
Long-term Endowment Fund
Capital Planning (Building Expansion / Construction)
Purchase of Books and Other Collection Needs
Support of Programming for Different Age or Interest Groups
Wherever Needs Are Greatest
All donations made to benefit the Whitefish Community Library are tax deductible, as the Whitefish Community Library is a public entity. Donations can also be made to the Whitefish Library Association, which is an IRS recognized non-profit organization. An acknowledgement receipt of your donation will be made by the Association. Neither the Library nor the Association can place a value on your non-monetary donated items for tax purposes. Please keep a detailed record of your donations, and if you are uncertain of the value of your donations for tax purposes, please consult your accountant or tax advisor.

We look forward to hearing from you!
