Any one, any age, who reads or is read to, may participate. The Challenge runs June 8 to August 14—prize winners contacted and posted on our website Monday, Aug. 17.

READ! Keep track of the time you spend listening to or reading BOOKS on your Summer Reading Challenge Log.

VISIT THE LIBRARY. After you’ve completed one or more rows of the log, bring it to the library. We’ll note it down and enter you in the Prize Drawing.

LAST DAY TO GET PRIZE TICKETS: Friday, August 14, 2018 by 2:00 p.m. We will not be able to enter tickets after that date.

PRIZE DRAWINGS [AKA “end-of-Challenge Prizes”]: Monday, August 17. Winners will be notified that day. There is a limit of 1 PRIZE PER PERSON (This will be the first prize for which your name is drawn.) See our prizes!

On or after June 8, come to the Library.  You can choose to sign up curbside or come inside the Library. Hours of operation are currently Mon-Thurs, 10 to 2, and Friday, 11 to 5. (Subject to change.)

Sign Up and receive your Summer Reading Challenge number. We only need your name and contact information (phone or email) in case you win a prize.

Write your Summer Reading Challenge number on the WCL Summer Reading Challenge Tracking Log provided and follow the directions on your Log to start reading and tracking your hours!

Get prize tickets by returning to the Library with your Log and showing it to a staff member. You will get a ticket entered for every row of the Reading Log that you finish.

BOOKS = Any format that involves Reading: Fiction or nonfiction books, audiobooks, magazines, comic books, newspapers, and read-along kits. Items do not have to be library items, but must involve READING and may not be below the reader’s reading level.
