Jeannette Rankin: American Conscience

Published on 02/14/20

Whitefish Library Association and Humanities Montana present a free program on Friday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library’s community room.

Humanitarian, pacifist, and tireless advocate for social reform, Montanan Jeannette Rankin was the first woman elected to U.S. Congress. Mary Jane Bradbury, as Jeannette, discusses her journey from grassroots suffragist to being the first woman to participate in United States government. Hear in Jeannette’s own words her views on equality and government reform – words that ring true today.

The program is a “Montana Conversation” sponsored by Humanities Montana.
