The Governor has issued a stay-at-home (or shelter-in-place) directive for residents of the State of Montana starting 12:01 a.m. on March 28, 2020, through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2020. Because we are not considered an essential service the Whitefish Community Library will need to cancel our curbside service as of Friday, March 28, at 5pm. Patrons will need to pick up their items before 5pm. No staff will be on duty. Items on hold not picked up will be held until May 1. We apologize that we aren’t able to continue with this service. Please do not return library books until May 1, 2020 which is the date ALL checked out materials are due.
1) We will push current due dates and available hold expiration dates out to a future date. 2) We will be suspending all Overdue Notice, Assumed Lost, and PLO processes until we reopening. 3) We are not charging overdue fines during closure.
Please, everyone, stay home. Stay safe. Be well.
